ST. VALENTINE'S DAY IN PORTUGAL

We really enjoy celebrating St. Valentine's Day in our school.
As usual, students write letters to the person they love!!!
We all write and receive many, many letters :)

The mail was delivered by Inês, Mariana Mexia and João Paulo. They looked great.
Here they are in one of the classrooms.

Some teachers also received mail :)

This is the love corner in the library.

Bulgarian friends are back

Dear friends,

Sorry for not contacting you for some time, but we didn't have any classes because of a terrible flu epidemics. Now the school has started again and we managed to finish our tasks, although there are still a great number of ill students and teachers.

Once again sorry for the delay!

We hope you will like them!

Greetings from Bulgaria!

O U R S C H O O L

Our school was founded in 1990/1991 as a Municipal Business Language School. Its name is State School of Finance and Management Intellect. The school is unique in the district as it provides graduates with both a High School Diploma and Certificate in preliminary vocational training.

The kids who want to apply for this school should have finished their seventh class (seventh level – at the age of 13 or 14) and have to do two entrance exams - one in Mathematics and one in Bulgarian language and literature. There are 20 classes and each of them has twenty- six students.
Students go to school in two shifts. The first shift starts at 7:30 and finishes at 12:30 or 13.15. The other one is from 13:30 till 18:30 or 19.15.

The school curriculum in our school includes two types of subjects- core subjects - Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Literature, Geography, History, Philosophy, Foreign languages (English and German) and Sport and economic subjects - Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, Business Management, Banking, Insurance.

The school is dedicated to providing students with more innovative ways of learning than that offered in a traditional Bulgarian school curriculum.

MOOMINMAMMA'S ADVENTURES IN PORTUGAL

As you know, Moominmamma arrived in Portugal in November and spent Christmas with us. We loved having her with us and we believe she also enjoyed being here.
Here are some pictures we took with her.
Soon there will be a power point presentation with more pictures.

This is class 8th A in the computer's room.
They look quiet... but they aren't.
Take a look at the next picture!

They are waving at you.
Moominmamma is in Helder's hands (bouncing in the air...)

Here you can see Moominmamma looking at Leonardo (very focused on his English work). Nuno and Fábio are in the background working too.

Moominmamma had a great day. Here with Diogo, Andreia and Catarina. Cátia is behind them.

With Rute, Joana, Mariana Mexia and Helder.
